I am from Athens, Greece. My entire family is from Chios. My father was born and raised in Kardamylia ( lowwer by the sea). Other family names in our family on the island are Kontos & Kalegria. I just want to say hi to everybody in Chios, especially to my grandparents in Armolia and Mirmigi. I went to Chios summer of 98 and it is looking more beautiful each time I visit. I am hoping to take a trip down there again this summer.

We've been to Chios this year and even though we stayed in Karfas next to the "wonderful smeerpijp" we've had one of the greatest vacations ever. The people of Chios are great and the environment is wonderful. We'll be back.......

I am hoping that someone on Chios has been able to contact Athens. I have family there and cannot get thru on the telephones. Is the damage as bad as the newpaper and media reports. Where was the most damage done. Anyone one who can help I would most gratefully appreciate. Thank-you!

Extremely beutiful page ! This site has convinced us so much of the beauty of Chios, we' ve decided to cancel our other vacation plans and visit Chios instead. After hours of phonecalls we managed to get two tickets to Chios and we ' ll arriving 20th of july. We haven' t found a cosey pension or hotel yet but we already know this vacation will be one in a million. Without this beautiful page, we wouldn' t even know of the existence of Chios. Thanks !!
