The Choir of Chios is a cultural society of non-speculative character.
It was constituted in 1982 and it consists of 35 members.
In 1995 a Children’s Choir was also formed which consists of 25 members today.
Both of the choirs are conducted by maestro Åleftheria Lycopanre.
The association is directed by a council of five members who are elected every two years.
The Choir of Chios covers its needs from the subscriptions of its members, from subsidies of the Aegean Ministry, of the Self administration of the prefecture of Chios and the Municipality of Chios, and from donations of friends.
The Choir of Chios is housed as a guest at the “Sight-seeing Club of Chios”
