The Monastery set up by my father's uncle at Halkios Chios Greece. These are the nuns who resided there. The priest is Cornelius. The young girl in front of him was the nun who attended the monastery when we were there in 1984. Apparently she is still there today (2010). Dad helped concerete the Monastery's steep driveway when he was a boy.

The family home at Halkios Chios Greece. The house had been left unattended since the early 1960's. It was at sometime a taverna with underground vaulted chambers. In the late 1990's the chambers collasped. The building was given to the local council which levelled the building and created a square. In 1984 we entered the building and dad discussed the way the family lived. A neighbour directly across the road used the property as her chicken pen.
