Ground Facilities |
The
Airport of Chios has given to the Club a small building at the Southern
end of the airport runway. The building was previously used by the army
and it was abandoned for several years. The members have been actively
renovating the interior and the surroundings, to turn it into a cozy club
house serving the needs of the Aeroclub.
The Club has also an aeromodelling
field 15km North of the town of Chios (see above in the History section).
Recently an effort was made
to find land and construct a field for ultra-light airplanes in the vicinity
of Volissos (40km NW of Chios town). |
